CicLAvia is back for 2025, and we’re riding there! Join us this Sunday for a feeder ride to University Park / West Adams to enjoy the first CicLAvia of the year.
Meeting point is Steelcraft (3768 Long Beach Blvd) at 7:30am. There’s coffee and restrooms there. We’ll roll out at 8am sharp so we can maximize our time at the event.
The route there is about 23 miles, staying on bike lanes and quiet streets as much as possible.
For the ride back we’re going to hop on Metro, taking the K line south and making a stop to bike through Inglewood Park Cemetery (final resting place of Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Tom Bradley, Sugar Ray Robinson, among others), then past So-Fi Stadium and finally catching Metro again back to Wardlow station in Long Beach, not too far from our starting point.
Everyone is welcome, but keep in mind it’s not a short ride so it’s not recommended for beginners. We’ll try to stay together and we’ll regroup regularly but you should be able to keep a moderate 12 to 15 mph pace for 20+ miles.
Bring a bike in good condition, helmet, patch kit/tools and your TAP card.
